Welcome to the Developmental Topographical Disorientation Forum (the "forum"). Only registered members are able to view the forum topics, read and post threads. Members of the forum should read and respect the following guidelines in order to make the forum enjoyable for all.
(a) Members can debate any topic related to orientation, any theory or idea, BUT must not make offensive or disrespectful comments. Any member who posts such comments will receive an initial warning, and if it continues a second time the member will be suspended from the forum. The moderator will monitor the forum for this purpose. Any offensive behavior detected by members can be reported to the moderator.
(b) Members making negative comments pertaining to race, color, creed or nationality may be suspended without warning.
(c) Replies to a thread must be consistent with the topic title and discussion. Replying to a topic with unrelated information (“highjacking the thread”) throws the original topic off track and makes reading the thread difficult for members interested in the original topic. Use private messages if you have to say something that you feel is not in line with the content of the topic.
(d) Members are reminded to be discerning and to use their discretion and common sense if they accept advice provided by other members or take part in any activity that may be dangerous to themselves or others. Each member is entirely responsible for his/her own actions.
(e) Promotion of any website, sales, marketing and business is prohibited. Any external links posted will be removed at the sole discretion of the moderator.
(f) Registered members will be provided with updates regarding the research project and management of the forum, as well as changes in the features related to membership activity.
(g) The forum is hosted by www.gettinglost.ca, a research project that has no private interests. Nothing reported by members in the forum will be used for research purposes.
(h) The forum's mission is to spread awareness about topographical disorientation by creating a community of individuals who are willing to communicate, support and guide each other. |
